Biographical Note

Maurizio Zaccardi

Maurizio Zaccardi was born in Parma on 12th of October 1955 and he carries on his activity in Italy and in France. He had made sculptures in stone for different years keeping on his search by means of other materials such as marble and bronze. In the last years his works have been realized with a particular technique of casting bronze on stone, Carrara’s marble or Murano glasses combinings. Zaccardi realized the Monument dedicated to “Enzo Sicuri” located in Parma’s historical centre, he made also the sculpture of “Petrarca” in marble and bronze” placed in Palatina Library in Parma. He has showed his works of art in different Italian cities : Venice, Milan, Reggio Calabria, Rome, Riccione etc., and also in some foreign ones as Menton, Cannes, Geneve, Innsbruck, Monaco, Castillon. He took part in the biennial "Serena" 2005, art exhibition organized by the Municipality of –Collecchio, with a marble-bronze sculpture (m. 2,20).

He was charged to realize a monument in bronze dedicated to Giovannino Guareschi by Roccabianca Municipality, with the collaboration of Carlotta and Alberto Guareschi sons. This Monument is placed in Fontanelle, in 2008. He had the assignment by the "Committee for the Monument dedicated to the Master A. Toscanini" to execute the work in bronze (m. 3,50) which is exposed in the “Corale G. Verdi” in Parma.

He also contributed to some sets for musical and theatrical shows together with the singer and musician Roberta Di Mario - June 2007- at Parma’s Auditorium

He made a painting for the set in occasion of the show "In a night of strange madness" with the participation of Gianni Fiorellino.

He received different recognitions for his works of art among them the Global Educational Art (Genova) and a “Master” at the Salon International of Menton Cotè Of Azur - France
